Carnival at Pest has faded from the modern international ballet repertory. Its original production is now remembered primarily through the detailed records of the Budapest Opera House, which preserve information about its premiere, creative team, cast, and substantial performance history. The ballet remained in the repertory until wartime disruptions, reaching 92 recorded performances by 1944.

✦ Iconic Interpreters
Ede Brada, the ballet's choreographer, also appeared in the original 1930 production as the Viennese gentleman. Gyula Harangozó later became associated with the ballet as both a performer and a contributor to its choreographic development, helping adapt and expand the work during its long run. Harangozó would later become one of the most important figures in Hungarian ballet.

✦ Legacy
Though now largely forgotten outside Hungary, Carnival at Pest was a genuine success in its own time. Its long run of performances shows that this was not simply a short-lived experiment, but a popular work that held its place in the Budapest repertory for years. Today, its surviving theatrical records preserve the memory of a colorful Hungarian ballet that gradually disappeared from the wider ballet world.
